William J. Sybert, Sr.

William J. Sybert Sr., 78, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2025. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Born on March 17, 1946, William was a kindhearted man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and taking his family on trips to the beach. A skilled handyman, he could fix just about anything, especially cars, and he had a passion for gardening. Nothing brought him more joy than having his family together, especially during the holidays when he would prepare breakfast for everyone.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Donna, who passed in October 2023. He is survived by his three sons, William Sybert Jr. (wife Wendy, children Gabrielle, Nicholas, Kaitlyn, and Samantha), Jeffrey Sybert (wife Colleen, children Jacob and Max), Michael Sybert (wife Dana, children Alexa and Serena), and his sister Lynn George. His love and dedication to his family will forever be cherished.

William’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. His kindness, warmth, and unwavering support made a lasting impact, and he will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-5 at Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo. A service to honor his life will be held Wednesday, 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Nanty Glo, Fr. Kevin Queally, TOR, the Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Gateway Hospice, 9380 McKnight Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237
