Olstein-William J., “Chill”, 77, Nanty Glo, passed away Feb. 2, 2025 at Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg. He was born Dec. 23, 1947 in Nanty Glo. Son of the late Joseph and Helen (Petrosky) Olstein. Preceded in death by brothers and sisters Francis Olstein, Cecelia Belohlavek , Josephine Post, Janet Villa, and Theadore Olstein and nieces Dawn Campbell and Leda Post. Chill is survived by his wife of 49 years, Cynthia Olstein, son Dr. William Olstein (Rebekah Fanelli), Sister Phyllis Lickert, brothers Joseph Olstein, Jr., James (Mary) Olstein, and Richard (Stacey) Olstein, special Godson Frank (Joan) Villa, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church. He was employed by Wolf Furniture for 39 years. He was a US Army Veteran. Chill loved his family and family gatherings, especially Oktoberfest. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, puzzles, playing cards, and watching his son’s hockey games. He was an avid fan of Pittsburgh sports teams. He loved walking the trail with his fur buddies Pete and Lacy. Chill was a kind, loving, hardworking man who was always willing to help others. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held on Thursday, at Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo from 6-8 PM. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church. Interment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary’s Church, St. Jude’s Hospital, or Cambria County Humane Society.
