Thomas G. Simasek

Thomas G. Simasek, 74, Nanty Glo, died Nov. 20, 2013, at Golden Living Center. Born Dec. 31, 1938, in Nanty Glo, son of the late Steve T. and Mary (Saula) Simasek. Preceded in death by grandson, Steven Thomas Wild. Survived by children, Michelle Drzewiecki, Ebensburg; Stephen (Lisa) Simasek, Nanty Glo; Pam (Kevin) Hritz, Nanty Glo; Dee Dee (Bob) Bowers, Johnstown; Cindy (Leo) Chamer, Menoher Heights; and Tina Morris, Johnstown; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mildred (Vincent) Vidovic and Marion (Donald) Ulmer, all of New Jersey. He served in the U.S. Army for eight years. Member of American Polish Club; American Legion Post 619, Nanty Glo; and Pipefitters Union. Tom was an avid fisherman, hunter and pool player.
