Theresa (Oblinsky) Manculich

Theresa (Oblinsky) Manculich March 23, 1935 to November 12, 2017 82, Dilltown, passed away November 12, 2017 at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pittsburgh, the daughter of George and Mary (Boback) Oblinsky. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Manculich; and their son, Phillip; her sisters Irene (Oblinsky) Molesky and Mary (Oblinsky) Younkin, brothers, John Oblinsky, Thomas Oblinsky, George Oblinsky and Steven Oblinsky. She is survived by her children Christine Brothers, Dilltown, married to Michael Brothers; Michele Manculich, Odenton, MD; Michael George Manculich, Edwardsville, ILL; Theresa Barefoot, married to Dr. Joseph Barefoot, Grand Cayman; and Kathleen Buchanan, Odenton, MD; and her sister, Anna Mae Ansier (Oblinsky), Chicago, ILL. She has 11 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Theresa was loving and caring. She enjoyed helping others and preparing meals as part of her ministry to the Catholic Church. She often cooked at St. Charles Catholic Church, Twin Rocks for parish functions, St. Theresa's, Johnstown for the parish priest, and Sisters of St. Ann Providence, Ebensburg for events held by Family Life Ministries of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown. She spent many Saturdays catering weddings with her good friends from Twin Rocks and Nanty Glo, serving halupkies, a local favorite, and other traditional food in her hometowns of Twin Rocks and Nanty Glo. She will be remembered for her sticky buns, pies and delicious meals. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic, Twin Rocks and later St. Marys Catholic Church, Nanty Glo. Family and friends will be received Sunday, November 19, 2017, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, 1102 Cardiff Road, Nanty Glo. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, November 20, 2017, 10 a.m. at St. Marys Catholic Church, 1020 Caroline St., Nanty Glo with Reverend Leonard E. Voytek officiating. Interment at St. Charles Cemetery, Twin Rocks, immediately following the ceremony; funeral procession and lineup begin at St. Marys Catholic Church.
