Suzan "Sue" (Garrett) Maus

Suzan (Garrett) Maus-known as Sue, or Mama Sue, born 5/28/1959, passed away 4/5/2021. Sue grew up as a proud Air Force brat, but Nanty Glo was always home to her, once her family settled there while she was in high school she had no desire to be anywhere else. She enjoyed traveling to see loved ones, but was content in her community with her family and friends. Sue worked through the years as different things: retail, school librarian, personal care aide, bartender, but she was happiest as a friend and loved one. Sue had a way with people, she always made you feel comfortable, and as if you had always known her. Her smile and laugh always stood out, and she had a way of making you laugh at times you didn’t even know you were capable. Sue would stand by you through anything, and always try to help you find what you needed. Sue is survived by her husband Edward Maus of Nanty Glo, whom she was married to for 43 years. three children and their spouses, Jessica (Teresa Langford), Melanie (Michael Barkley), and Keith (Mary Ferchalk). Sue was Grammie to 6 grandchildren that she adored, Zayden Marion; Logan and Garrett Barkley; Avery Ferchalk, Makenzie McCullough, and Lilian Woodling. Sue is also survived by her parents Jaye and Judy Garrett, and her three siblings, Sharon Garrett, Laura (Mark Pasko) and Tim (Sue) Garrett. Sue had several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, from 12PM until the time of funeral services at 2PM, at Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, Deacon Tom Buige, the Celebrant. A celebration of Life to follow at the Blue Goose Sportsman's Club. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sue's Family.
