Stewart Gailey

Stewart Davis Gailey, 90, Nanty Glo, died June 4, 2012, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Jan. 7, 1922, son of the late Stewart A. and Vallie Lee (Smelker) Gailey. Preceded in death by sisters, Ethel Gailey and Marion Gailey; and brothers, Horace and Lloyd. Survived by his beloved sister, Eleanor Richardson; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews and great-great-nieces and -nephews, who loved him dearly. Member of Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, Nanty Glo. Retired from Bethlehem Steel. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Stewart was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. He enjoyed golfing and gardening, and will be missed by all who knew him. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until time of service at noon Wednesday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, the Rev. Milton Vogel, officiating.
