Stephen Andrew, 29, Butler, formerly of Nanty Glo, passed away Aug. 12, 2015. Born June 14, 1986, in Johnstown, son of Stephen and Barbara (Kowal) Oblinsky. Preceded in death by father, Stephen; grandparents, Michael and Helen Kowal and George Oblinsky Jr.; godfather, Tommy Malcotti; special aunt, Helen Kowal; and adopted grandfather, Mickey Kasecky. Survived by mother, Barbara, Nanty Glo; sisters, Anne (Nimai) Kasecky, Pittsburgh; and Mary Rose (Jason) Olexa, Pittsburgh; brother, Nicholas Oblinsky, Nanty Glo; grandmother, Shirley Oblinsky, Ebensburg; nieces, Melina and Leilani; nephew, Garrett; adopted grandmother, Barb Kasecky; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was employed by Family Dental of Butler. He was an Air Force veteran assigned to 86th Dental Squadron at Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany, and Fourth Medical Group at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo. A short prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, followed by funeral Liturgy at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Nanty Glo, Father Robert Oravetz, celebrant. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Military service will be conducted at 9:15 a.m. by local veterans organizations. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Nicholas Byzantine Church or a veterans organization of your choice.
