Robert Paul "Buggsy" Silko

Silko-Robert Paul “Buggsy”, 81, Nanty Glo, passed away May 9, 2020 at home. Born Feb. 24, 1939 in Johnstown. Son of the late Thomas and Verna (Casper) Silko. He is preceded in death by  brother William, Thomas, James, and sister Margaret Shestak. Buggsy is survived by his wife the former Catherine Sabo. Children Robert (Joann) Silko, Hooversville, Richard (Betty) Silko, Nanty Glo, Sandra (Daren) Keilman, Belsano, Shaun (Jamie) Silko, Nanty Glo. Grandchildren Lynn, Sarah (Matt), Hailey, Jennifer, Aaron (Brittany), Evan, Danielle, Kyle, Shannon (Robert), Daren, Jr. (Emily), Shaelyn, Shaun, Jr, and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Brother of John (Linda) Silko, Joseph Silko, and Delores (Tony) Grove, and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of St. Mary’s Church, Nanty Glo. Buggsy loved watching his grandchildren playing sport. He enjoy sitting in the back yard by the camp fire drinking beer with his brother Joe.  Because of the public health crisis, the family will be having private services. Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, is in charge of the services.
