Robert Karol

Robert Karol 72, Nanty Glo, passed away June 14, 2012, at Cambria Care Center. Born in Vintondale, son of the late Metro and Helen (Kerekes) Karol. Preceded in death by three sisters, Ann, Judy and Katherine. Survived by sons, Robert J., Cleveland, Ohio, and Michael J., Florida; brother, Jim, Ohio; sisters, Mary Chychlyk, Irene Pastula, Barbara Freuler and Dorothy Matje. Attended SS. Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church, Vintondale. Worked many years for GE in Ohio and later worked in Florida. He was a member of Vintondale Fire Dept. and Vintondale VFW and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo. Funeral service at  10 a.m. Tuesday at SS. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church, Vintondale, the Rev. Father Grigori Tsjouman, celebrant. Interment to follow at church cemetery. Veteran's service will be conducted by local veterans' organizations. Contributions can be made to Cambria County Humane Society.
