Rita Marie (Quinn) Carmel

April 24, 1924 — February 17, 2019

Carmel-Rita Marie (Quinn), 94, passed away at home surrounded by her children Feb. 17, 2019. She was born April 25, 1924 in Nanty Glo. Daughter of the late Harry and Bertha (Rearick) Quinn. Preceded in death by husband Jack Carmel, brothers Harold and James, sisters Elizabeth, Mary, and Myra, Nephew Michael. Rita is survived by her children Lois, Jeff, Jack, Candy, and Cheryl. She was a grandmother to James, Jackie, Christie, Nikki, Tracey, Natalie, Carey, Jason, and Amanda. She also has 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Member of the Jackson Township Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary since 1965. She will be sadly missed. Visitation will be held Thursday 4-8 PM at Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where funeral services will be held Friday 10 AM. Interment will follow in Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg.
