Raymond "Ray" Post

Raymond "Ray" Post Jr., 80, Johnstown, formerly of Nanty Glo, died Jan. 6, 2015, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Jan. 14, 1934, in Fredericktown, Pa., son of the late Raymond Sr. and Pauline (Kaiser) Post. Preceded in death by daughter, Leda Post; and six siblings. Survived by son, Dr. Christopher R. Post, Virginia Beach, Va.; grandchildren, Megan (Ryan) Ellenberger, Germany; and Matthew and Mitchell Post, both of Virginia Beach, Va.; and sister, EvaJune Bruce, Greensboro, N.C. Retired from the U.S. Marine Corps after 20 years as a captain. He served two years in Vietnam and numerous other tours of duty in the Far East. After retirement from the military, he worked in various coal mines for 21 years. At the request of the deceased and his son, there will be no viewing or memorial service. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo.
