FITZ Minnie C. (Nischalke), 97, Jackson Township, died March 12, 2016, at The Village, Mundys Corner. Born June 12, 1918, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Robert and Genista (Marose) Nischalke. Preceded in death by husband, Herman; brothers and sisters Ernest, Freda Brawley, Walter, Mary Soriano, Paul and Elsie Bunn; and son-in-law, Don Furman. Survived by daughter, Elaine Furman; grandchildren, Gary (Pam) Furman, Tammy (Cuba) Szekeresh, Patsy (Pete) Pagano and Betty Boo (Jerry) Burke; great-grandchildren, Gary Jr., Ben (Shauna) and Don (Lynn) Lybarger; great-great-grandchildren, Abby, Blake, Brayde, Brooklynn, Zachary and Bryce; and great-great-great-granddaughter, Adrianne. Minnie was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Member of Mount Olive United Methodist Church. Minnie enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and crocheting. She played the piano and accordion. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, the Rev. Dwayne Kaufman officiating. Interment, Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
