Michael Thomas Paskowski

Paskowski-Michael Thomas, 99, Mundy’s Corner, passed away Jan. 3, 2022 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born June 19, 1922, in Wehrum. Son of the late Mirko and Anna (Kozak) Paskowski. Proceded in death by daughter Cynthia Ann Carlson and infant daughter Barbara Paskowski, sisters Mary Paskowski and Julia Varesak, brothers Andrew, John, and Joseph. Michael is survived by his wife of 74 years Dorothy L. (Shaffer) Paskowski. Sons Thomas (Patricia) Paskowski, Robert (Joan) Paskowski, David (Sherri) Paskowski. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Member of St. John Vianney Church, Mundy’s Corner. Member of the PNA and United Mine Workers. He was a US Navy Veteran serving during WWII on the USS Jeffers, NOB Norfolk, and USS Moale, and fought in the European, African, and Asiatic Theaters and Philippine Liberation. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, 10 AM at St. John Vianney Church, Mundy’s Corner. Private interment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, is in charge of the arrangements.
