Michael Francis Bichko, Nanty Glo, passed away on November 2, 2018 at the age of 70. Born November 19, 1947 in Colver. Son of the late Michael F. Bichko Sr. and Ann (Pavuk). He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Janet; his children who were the loves of his life, Michael, Michele, and Mario. Brother Thomas, and sisters Nancy, Karen, Suzanne, Annie, and Vicki, and their families including many nieces and nephews. Also survived by sister-in-law Rosalie and husband James Emerson and their children Jason, Jeremy, Josh, Cortney, Joel, Brady and Lyla. He served in the US Army Chemical Corps in Germany from 1968-1970. He was a graduate of St. Francis University and had a career in accounting. Emeritus member of PASBO. Member of St. Mary's Church, Nanty Glo. Lifetime member of the VFW, member of American Legion Post 619, member of Penn State Nittany Lion Club. He was an avid reader and sports fan, especially Penn State football. He loved traveling with his family, especially to Penn State games and their annual trip to the beach. His dog Minnie held a special place in his heart. He lived his life always helping others. Family and friends will be received from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Wednesday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo. Funeral mass will be held at 10 am Thursday at Mary's Church. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Church. Veterans services will be conducted by the Nanty Glo, Twin Rocks, and Vintondale Ritual Team.
