Mary (Scott) Zelinsky

Zelinsky-Mary (Scott), 88, Nanty Glo, passed away June 3, 2019 at her home. She was born Jan. 5, 1931 in Nanty Glo. Daughter of the late Andrew and Stefania (Sekerak) Scott. Preceded in death brothers Joseph, Michael, Peter, and Ignatius Olsavsky; Andrew and John Scott. Mary is survived by her husband of 72 years George Zelinsky. Children George (Ellen) Zelinsky, Agnes (John) Tanish, Catherine (Lamonte) Donnelly, Stephanie (Zelinsky) Kovach, and Mary Tomacruz. Grandchildren Scott Zelinsky, Benjamin Zelinsky, Megan Zelinsky, Monica (Tanish) Dice, Dr. Ann Marie (Tanish) Lago, John Tanish, Dr. Kimberly Tanish, Renee Lawless, Matthew Donnelly, Alexis Tomacruz, Hope Tomacruz, and Brooke Tomacruz. 16 Great grandchildren. She is the sister of Sister Agnes Scott and William "Bill" Scott. Member of St. Mary's Church, Nanty Glo, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. Member of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Assoc. Mary was a very loving mother and Baba to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. We will carry her in our hearts forever. She gave so much too so many of us, she was truly a great woman. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where Liturgical Wake Service will be held. Funeral Mass will be Friday 10 AM at St. Mary's Church, Fr. Leonard Voytek, the Celebrant. Interment to follow in Holy Name Cemetery, Ebensburg.
