Mary Ellen (Wray) Pytash

Mary Ellen (Wray) Pytash, 84, Third Street, Vintondale, went to be with our Lord Dec. 16, 2014, at Amber Hills, Ebensburg. Born April 7, 1930, in Vintondale, daughter of the late James Wray and Celestine (Hopkins) Van Brussel. Preceded in death by husband, Paul; brother, James "Jimmy"; and sister, Margaret Cover. She was retired from the Ebensburg Center and was a lifelong member of Vintondale Baptist Church. She loved roses and sunflowers; enjoyed listening to music, especially opera; and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; but most of all, giving of herself to her family. Survived by children, Ted (Brenda) Pytash, Rae Ann Lanzendorfer, Dave (Lynne) Pytash, Chris (Jack) Hoover and Karen (Sam) Donaldson; and son-in-law, Mark; also 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Charitable donation gifts in Mary's name are requested to be made to Vintondale Baptist Church. Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, is in charge of arrangements.
