Margaret (Widmar) Cherensky

Margaret "Peg" Cherensky, 96, Twin Rocks, died Aug. 23, 2013, at Cambria Care Center. Born May 10, 1917, in Vintondale, daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Ludwig) Widmar. Preceded in death by husband, John; sisters, Lillian Tursic, Betty Caushep and Hazel Polonkey; and brothers, Ernest Widmar and Albert Widmar. Survived by daughter, Diane Shandor, and husband, Larry, Fredericksburg, Va.; grandchildren, Larry Shandor Jr., and fiancee, Sandy, Woodbridge, Va., and Laura Brewer, and husband, Howard, Stafford, Va.; great-grandchildren, Alexander and Allison Brewer; and several nieces and nephews. Member of the former SS. Timothy & Mark Church, Twin Rocks. Retired from the Ebensburg Center. At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing. Family will receive friends from noon until the time of memorial service at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, the Rev. Leonard E. Voytek officiating.
