Leonard J. Mickey, Sr.

Mickey-Leonard J, Sr., 78, Nanty Glo, passed away Nov. 10, 2023 at Maple Heights, Ebensburg. He was born Nov. 13, 1944, in Johnstown. Son of the late Howard S. and Lavera A. (Guier) Mickey, Sr. Preceded in death by his brother Howard S. Mickey, Jr. Leonard is survived by his wife of 58 years Sara (McIntire) Mickey. Children Leonard (Brenda) Mickey, Jr., Theresa (Gary) Charles, Sara (Joseph) Weakland, Tammy (Robert) Hagen, and Stephanie (Bill) Collins. 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 6 loving sisters. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force and Army National Guard. Leonard enjoyed spending time with his family, driving his 18-wheeler, and racing cars. He was loved by all who knew him. The visitation will be Monday at the Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Nanty Glo, from 1PM until the time of funeral services at 5 PM. Interment to be held at the convenience of the family. Veterans Services will be conducted by the Nanty Glo, Twin Rocks, and Vintondale Ritual Team.
