Leona F. (Stiles) Kendra

Leona F. (Stiles) Kendra, Strongstown, died Feb. 24, 2013, at Rebekah Manor, Ebensburg. Born March 18, 1929, in Strongstown, daughter of the late John and Lucinda (Hoffman) Stiles. Preceded in death by sister, Edith Kendra. Survived by husband, Stanley, Strongstown; children, Mary (David) Beckey, Strongstown; Barbara Pratt, Nanty Glo; and Randy, Raleigh, N.C.; grandchildren, D.J. Beckey and Greg and Tony Pratt; five great-grandchildren; and brother, Homer Stiles, New Castle. Leona loved to play bingo. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. John Hickman, officiating. Interment to follow at Pineland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rebekah Manor in Ebensburg, or Horizon Hospice, who the family would like to thank for the excellent care that they provided for their mother.
