Brown-Laura “Ann” (Newcomer), 71, Nanty Glo, passed away April 25, 2021. She was born June 27, 1949, in Johnstown. Daughter of the late Jack and Mary Jane (Burkhart) Newcomer. Preceded in death by great grandson Dejuan, brother Jack Newcomer, sisters Ida Altimus and Georgia Matta. Ann is survived by her husband Richard P. “Dick” Brown, Sr. Children Heidi Brown(Matt Mesaros), Melissa Lynch (Todd Ray), Paula Brown, Richard P. Brown, Jr., Brian Brown (Darla Brown). Grandchildren Carrie Brown, Justin Fetzer, Amanda Strittmatter, Ellie Petrocelli, Samantha Lynch, and Sylvia Brown. Great grandchildren Delano, Damir, Alyessia, Marley, Ayden, Elliot, Pippa, and Eliza. Sister of Eva Weimer (Bill Vogel), Thomas Newcomer (Audrey), Edward Newcomer, and special friend JoAnn Mahalko. She retired from the Ebensburg Center after 15 years. Ann enjoyed crafts and going to craft shows, and spending her winters in Myrtle Beach. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4PM- 8PM at Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home Nanty Glo, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 AM, Pastor Geno Bartoletti, officiating. Entombment will follow in Holy Name Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made Nanty Glo Fire Company.
