Joseph Scansaroli

Scansaroli-Joseph, 86, passed peacefully at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital on December 15, 2022. Born February 28, 1936 in Nanty Glo. Son of the late Paul and Katherine (Kubat) Scansaroli. He was preceded in death by sister Pauline Kintner. Joe is survived by his wife of 35 years Lorraine (Sidone) Scansaroli, his sisters Amelia Halloran, North Royalton, Oh and Elizabeth Kreashko and husband Fred, Ebensburg, brother Louis and wife Dianne, Blairsville, brother-in-law Richard Sidone and wife Linda, Virginia Beach, VA, and numerous nieces and nephews and faithful companion Max. Joe graduated from St. Francis College in 1962 and began his career as a Certified Public Accountant at Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. in Washington, DC. He then became self-employed with an office in Johnstown for 50 years retiring at the age of 85. Joe enjoyed taking his dog for walks, feeding the birds and spending time outside enjoying nature. He will be forever loved and missed. At Joe’s request, there will be no public visitation. Funeral Mass will be 10 AM on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at St. Mary’s Church, Nanty Glo, Father Leonard Voytek, the Celebrant, Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Nanty Glo.
