Joanne M. (Bezek) Patterson, 76, Nanty Glo, died July 3, 2014, at Richland Woods. Born May 24, 1938, in Nanty Glo, daughter of the late John and Helen (Dropcho) Bezek. Preceded in death by husband, Martin; daughter, Natalie Patterson; sister, Barbara Bezek; and brother, John Bezek. Survived by children, Martin (Anne) Patterson, Sykesville, Md.; Mary Sciulli, West Palm Beach, Fla.; Cecelia (David) Irvin, Bellfonte; Patricia (Dave) Altimus, Belsano; Krista (Shawn) Cooley, McLean, Va.; and Jennifer (Todd) Waldron, Wynnewood; 18 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Sister of Elizabeth Bezek, Nanty Glo. Member of St. Mary's Church, Nanty Glo. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where Liturgical Wake will be held Sunday. Funeral Mass and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Church, the Rev. Father Leonard Voytek, celebrant. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Nanty Glo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society or St. Mary's Church.
