Jay K. Jacobson

Jay K. Jacobson, 40, Nanty Glo, passed away on Dec. 15, 2024, at Memorial Medical Center. He was born November 4, 1984 in Johnstown. Son of the late Joseph and Candice (Berkhamer) Jacobson. Preceded in death by grandmother Violet Berkhamer and Uncle Larry Berkhamer. 

Jay is survived by his wife, Nicole Jacobson; daughter, Mackenzie; brother, Robert Jacobson; and sister, Sherri Cope. He is also survived by his nieces and nephew, April and Micole Jacobson and Zachary Cope; cousin, Amanda (Joe) Smorto; and their children, Tyler and Bella and Tammy (Aaron) Lentz. 

Jay was a member of the First Baptist Church, Nanty Glo, and enjoyed being a part of the Men’s Bible Group. He was a member of the Nanty Glo Fire Department, where fireman’s services will be held at 6 PM; acting president of the Cambria County Regional Firefighters Assoc., Western Pa Firemen’s Assoc., Central District Firemen’s Assoc., Pa State Firemen’s Assoc., and Cambria County Swift Water Rescue Team. 

He helped coach youth football for Blacklick Valley and his daughter’s softball team. Jay was employed by Kamzik’s Plumbing and Drain Cleaning. Jay was a very devoted husband, father, and friend to all in the community. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 at Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 AM at the Nanty Glo First Baptist Church, with Pastor Geno Bartoletti, Officiating.
