Ida M. (Newcomer) Altimus, 63, Revloc, formerly of Nanty Glo, died Dec. 28, 2013, at home. Born July 4, 1950, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Jack and Maryjane (Burkhart) Newcomer Sr. Preceded in death by brother, Jack Newcomer Jr. Survived by children, Stacey (David) Willett, Nanty Glo; Benjamin (Cassie) Altimus, Georgia; and Ed Newcomer, and companion, Joyce Reebes, Nanty Glo; grandchildren, Ed, Hailey, Tim, Cody, Devon and Aidan. Sister of Ann (Richard) Brown, Nanty Glo; Georgia (Mike) Matta, Highspire, Pa.; Eva Weimer, and companion, Bill Vogel, Carlisle; and Tom Newcomer, and companion, Audrey Guzek, Ohio. Also survived by sister-in-law, Eva (Nowling) Newcomer, Johnstown; companion of 18 years, Bryan Reese, Nanty Glo; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. Worked at Comfort Inn, Ebensburg, for 18 years. Member of Women of the Moose Lodge 516, Nanty Glo. Friends will be received from 2 p.m. until time of service at 8 p.m. Monday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo.
