Korotko-Helen (Gribbin), 75, Nanty Glo, formerly of Braddock Hills, passed away, peaceful surrounded by her family on Sept. 10, 202. She was born Jan. 15, 1947 in Braddock. Daughter of the late Thomas and Helen (Retzer) Gribbin. Preceded in death by husband John “Jack” Korotko, sisters Mary Frances Gribbin and Sara Szydlik. Helen is survived by daughters Kimberly (Gregory) Donahue, Naples, FL and Kelly Kendall, Leominster, MA. Grandchildren Rhodora, Gregory, Jeffrey, Kathleen, and Michael Donahue; Hannah, Jack, Matthew Kendall. Sister Kathleen Waldron, Nanty Glo; brothers Thomas (Kathy) Gribbin, Allison Park, Thomas (Janet) Wilson, Pittsburgh. Margaret Colaianne and Rosemary (Don) Geary, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Nanty Glo, where she served on Parish Council. Member of the Nanty Glo Fire Ladies Aux., the Red Hat Society in Nanty Glo, served on the Council of Catholic Women in Naples, FL, and spent time working as a caregiver to several families in Nanty Glo. Visitation will be held Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 at Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where a Liturgical Wake Services will be held. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Fr. Leonard Voytek, the Celebrant. Interment will follow in Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
