Harvey A. Rhine, Sr.

Rhine-Harvey A., 87, Strongstown, passed away May 2, 2024 at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 26, 1937, in Buffington Twp. Son of Wilbur and Alma (Hollenbaugh) Rhine. Preceded in death by father, daughter Barbara Kotelnicki, nephew Michael Rhine, and several in-laws. He is survived by his wife Jean, children Harvey (Heather) Rhine, Jr., Robert (Lynn) Rhine, and Shari (Scott) Adams. Grandchildren Hannah (Ryan) Campbell, Haley, and Heidi, Rhine, Maria and Amanda Rhine, Jordan and Elisabeth Kotelnicki, and step grandchildren Heather and Justin Adams, Mother Alma, siblings Ken (Donna) Rhine, Lawson Rhine, and Joan Ewing, son-in-law Jim Kotelnicki, and numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws, and best feline buddy Marigold. Harvey was a very hard worker. At his job, he would mentor and teach others. At home, he would tinker and fix anything. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Harvey was a proficient vegetable gardener, always producing an abundant harvest. Visitation will be Saturday 6-8 and Sunday from 2-6 PM at Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held Monday 11 AM. Interment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Nanty Glo.
