Gwendolyn (Phillips) Cook

Gwendolyn (Phillips) Cook, 75, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, March 1, 2020, after a battle with COPD. Ms. Cook was born in Johnstown, PA to the late Allen Phillips and Grace Peffer Phillips. She loved going to the casino, watching Big Bang Theory, her grandchildren and her dog “Cowboy”. Surviving, are a daughter, Kelli Leonzio (Lou) of Fountain Inn, SC, three grandchildren, Erika Heming of Johnstown, PA, Shannon Heming of Nanty Glo, PA and Drew Heming of Johnstown, PA; a special cousin, Mary Ellen Cocho, her ex husband, Clair “Skeet” Cook, Jr. of Nanty Glo, PA and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by two brothers, John Phillips and Walter Phillips and three sisters, Mary Ellen Phillips, Jean Dymetric and Gayle Malcotti. Gwen was a loving mother, NaNa and friend.  She was always friendly and when she cared for you she gave her entire heart.  She will be forever missed by all that knew her.  A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
