Francis "Mickey" Kasecky, 84, Nanty Glo, died Dec. 28, 2012, at Select Specialty Care, Johnstown. Born March 10, 1928, in Nanty Glo, son of the late Andrew and Julia (Kuhar) Kasecky. Preceded in death by son, Edward, and brothers, Andrew, John and Joseph "Knobby." Survived by wife, former Barbara Sheesley, Nanty Glo; children, Leslie (Michael) Lardner, Nanty Glo, and Michelle (Robert) Sharp, Delaware; grandchildren, Lauren, Ryan, Anne, Mary Rose, Stephen and Nicholas; and great-grandchildren, Melina, Elias and Dara. Brother of Elizabeth Barbera, New York; Mary Mackanick, Nanty Glo; Susan (Thomas) Barbera, New York; Theresa Roe, Nanty Glo; Thomas (Dolores), Nanty Glo; Catherine (James) Leleck, Cresson; and Shirley Kasecky, Nanty Glo. Member of St. Mary's Church, Nanty Glo. Retired from Nanty Glo Borough. U.S. Navy veteran. Member of Nanty Glo VFW Post 3489. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where liturgical wake will be held Tuesday. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Church, the Rev. Father Martin A. Cingle. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery.
