Elizabeth "Betty" (Fletcher) Johnson

Johnson-Elizabeth “Betty” (Fletcher), 89, Nanty Glo, went home to be with her Lord on Aug. 1, 2021 at Cambridge, Ebensburg. She was born Nov. 18, 1931 in Indiana. Daughter of the late Edward and Bertha (Zetter) Fletcher. She is preceded in death by husband James Johnson, Sr., grandson Jeremy Johnson, brothers Jim, Francis, Bob, and Dick Fletcher and sister Sarah Poptick. Betty is survived by children James (Frances) Johnson, Jr., Michael (Clara) Johnson, Gary (Pam) Johnson, Diane (George) Bowman, and Robert (Debbie) Johnson. Grandchildren Michael, James, III, Heather, Renee, William, Jennifer, Brittany, and Brianna. 19 Great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a member of the Nanty Glo United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women. Gold card member and past president of the Nanty Glo Fire Ladies Auxiliary. Member of the Democratic Women’s Club, and Red Hat Society. Betty loved to spend time with her family and her daughter’s dog Penny. She enjoyed going on bus trips with friends from the church. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2-8 PM at the Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Nanty Glo and Thursday from 10 AM until the time of funeral service at 11 AM at the Nanty Glo United Methodist Church, Pastor Bill Warrick, officiating. Interment to be held at the convenience of the family.
