Eleanora (Nora) Beradine Ciotti, age 99 passed away Thursday June 18, 2020 in Peoria, Arizona with loving family by her side. She was born to the late Domenico Antonio Ciotti and Maria Concetta Santogrossi Ciotti-Buige on February 20, 1921 in Nanty Glo, Pennsylvania.
Nora attended Nanty Glo High School, where she loved to dance on roller skates and bowl. She loved bowling so much she bowled well into her 90’s. Nora was an active member in the community and a lifetime member of Pioneers Volunteer Network. She was a member of St. Mary’s Parish in Nanty Glo where she loved to sing and participated in the choir for many years.
During World War II Nora joined the war efforts by moving to Ohio to work in a factory wiring the B-24 Liberator bomb load. After the war she moved to Baltimore, Maryland where she was a switchboard operator for Mid Atlantic Telephone Corporation, she later moved into finance as a supervisor until her retirement after 30 years of service.
Family and friends were Nora’s passion and delight. She loved to be in contact with her family, and was a dedicated daughter that attended to her mother Concetta until her death at 99 years of age.
Nora is survived by her brother Don & Betsy Ciotti, niece, nephews, and a multitude of great and great-great nieces and nephews.
