Thompson-Eleanor (Boothman), 96, Nanty Glo, went home to be with the Lord Feb. 11, 2020 at home. She was born Sept. 17, 1923 in Barnsboro. Daughter of the late Clifford and Laura (Skirsky) Boothman. Preceded in death by husband Harry Thompson, step mother Mary Boothman. Eleanor is survived by her sons Warren (Susan) Thompson, Linstrum, MN and Edward (Brenda) Thompson, Belsano. Grandchildren Nathan, Carrie (Jade), and Donny. Great grandchildren Thompson “Goma” and Opal Eleanor. Donny, Teresa, Alice, Trent, and Aiden. Sisters Betty and Gail, brother Warren. She was a member of Nanty Glo United Methodist Church. She was Rosie the Riveter during WWII. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, weekly fish fires with the golden girls and always welcomed company into her home, making them feel like family. Special thanks to Joy, Nadine, Eli, Laura, and other friends and neighbors for all their help over the years. Also to the Nanty Glo United Methodist Church for all their kindness, and Conemaugh Hospice whom made her final days much easier to endure. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, Feb. 21, 2020 at the Nanty Glo United Methodist Church at 12 PM, Pastor Bill Warrick officiating. Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, are in charge of the arrangements.
