Edward Leo O'Farrell

Edward Leo O’Farrell, Jr., 91, Nanty Glo, passed away December 19, 2022, at Indiana Reginal Medical Center. Born July 10, 1931, to the late Edward and Rose (Rummel) O’Farrell Sr. Preceded in death by wife, Ann (Kisic); and siblings, Kenneth O’Farrell; Geraldine Wagner; and Richard and Francis O’Farrell. Survived by children, Rose Ann Thornton and husband David B.; Edward L. O’Farrell and wife Kimberly S.; long-time partner, Caryl Sanderson; grandchildren, Shannan deLima; Jessica Johnson; Jackie Thornton; Anna and Claire O’Farrell; great grandchildren, Evan Johnson; Samuel deLima; sister, Agnes June Wick; and lifelong friend, Francis “Fuzzy” Christoff. Edward was a retiree of U.S. Steel. He was a long-time member of the Polish Club and a former school board member for Blacklick Valley School District. Edward was an avid golfer and enjoyed golfing at Pleasant Valley Golf Course where he was a member for many years. Family will receive friends on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022, at the Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Nanty Glo, from 4 PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 7 PM, Pastor Geno Bartoletti, officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
