Don J. Lomire

Lomire-Don J., 74, Nanty Glo, passed away June 4, 2021 at Richland Health Care. He was born Dec. 18, 1946 in Altoona. Son of the late William and Agnes (Culley) Lomire. Preceded in death by brothers William and John. Don is survived by his wife Denise (Brown) Lomire. Daughter Lisa (Jason) Abrams-Counterman. Grandchildren Emily Abrams, Ashton Counterman, Alexandria Counterman, and Matthew Counterman. Brother of Ed (Stepfanie) Lomire and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Nanty Glo. Don was a Navy Veteran and served in the Vietnam War. Don Volunteered at the Nanty Glo Park and Pool for many years, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golf. Visitation will be on Monday from 4-8 PM at the Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where Liturgical Wake Service will be held. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Nanty Glo. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Military Services will be held by the Local Veterans organizations. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hillman Cancer Center 5115 Centre Ave. Pittsburgh, Pa 15213 or the Nanty Glo Park and Pool.
