Born Nov. 9, 1928, in Colver, son of Melvin and Lovella Mae (McDonald) Mervine. Preceded in death by grandparents; parents; wife, Jessie; grandson, Jeffery Robert Mervine; great-grandson, Bryce Holby; brother, Francis; and sister, Velma Findley. Survived by children, Kenneth (Janet), Strongstown; Robert (Mary Ann), Nanty Glo; and Gloria (Dennis) Olsavsky, Nanty Glo; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Member of International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 66. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Sally Bracken, officiating.
