Cook-Cecil “Skip”, 78, Blacklick Twp., passed away April 27, 2021 at Forbes Hospital, Monroeville. He was born Sept. 3, 1942 in Johnstown. Son of the late Clair and Leah (Holsopple) Cook. Preceded in death by wife Rosella (Greene) Cook and sisters Elaine Goodrich and Leah Louise Cook. Skip is survived by his children Skip (Roxanne) Cook, Dave (Maria) Cook, and Kim (Dave) Smith. Grandchildren Maura and Tanner Cook; Matt and Carly Cook; Brody and Bailey Lawerence, and Dave Smith. Brother Clair “Skeet" Cook. Member of the Cardiff Road Church of God. He retired from Swank Refectories and the Cambria County Assoc. for the Blind. He also worked as a coal miner. Skip was a lifetime member of the Nanty Glo Fire Co., where he was Deputy Chief, Trustee, and Auditor. Member of the Cambria Co. Fireman’s Accoc., where he was a Past President, Central District Fireman’s Assoc, Western District Fireman’s Assoc., and the Pennsylvania State Fireman’s Assoc. Social member of the Moose Lodge and American Legion, Nanty Glo, and Fairmont Hahntown Fireman’s Club, North Huntingdon. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where Nanty Glo Fireman’s Services will be held at 6PM, and on Monday from 9 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 10 AM at Cardiff Road Church of God, Pastor Robert Westrick, officiating.
