Carole M. (Austin) Leonard, 79, Nanty Glo, died March 25, 2016, at Arbutus Park Manor. Born Feb. 19, 1937, in Nanty Glo, daughter of the late Henry and Mae (Kirsch) Austin. Preceded in death by brother, Donald Austin. Survived by husband, Daniel J. Leonard, DPM, Nanty Glo; children, Carole M. (R. Timothy) Kakabar, Salix; Daniel J. Leonard, MD, Lewisburg; Rita M.(Michael) Linus, Dresher; Maria K.(David) Cook, North Huntingdon; and Neil R. (Jessica) Leonard, North Wales; and grandchildren, Rachel and Taylor Linus, Matthew and Carly Cook, Sidney Kakabar and Samantha and Nathan Leonard. Sister of William (Barbara) Austin, Camden, Del.; Robert (Sheryl) Austin, Santa Clara, Calif.; and Bernard (Donna) Austin, Flower Mound, Texas. Member St. Mary's Church. Retired math teacher from Blacklick Valley Junior Senior High School. Private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, is in charge of the arrangements.
