Betty Ascention (Turko) Deskevich

Deskevich-Betty (Turko), 88, Nanty Glo, past away Jan. 11, 2020 at Rebeka Manor, Ebensburg. She was born May 19, 1931 in Heilwood. Daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Yanek) Turko. Preceded in death by Husband Peter Deskevich, brothers Joseph, III “Sonny” and Richard Turko, sister Mary Jane Turko. Betty was the last surviving member of her immediate family and is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Member of St. Mary’s Church. Retired from Ebandjeff Health Center in Nanty Glo after 39 ½ years. Member of the Nanty Glo Business Women’s Assoc. After retirement Betty enjoyed bus trips to the casino, playing bingo and the lottery, and listening to Polka music. Family would love to gather at Betty’s house on Sunday’s for her homemade soup. Viewing will be held on Saturday, 10:30 AM unitl the time of funeral service at 11 AM, at Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo. Entombment will be in Holy Name Mausoleum, Ebensburg.
