August 'Scott' Klash, Jr.

August Scott Klash Jr., 81, Strongstown, died Jan. 6, 2016, at Indiana Regional Medical Center. Born June 10, 1934, in Pine Township, son of August and Gladys (Albright) Klash. Preceded in death by parents; and wife, Sally Ann (Mahan) Klash. Survived by children, Laura (Rick) Allen, Florida; and Scott Klash (Amanda Sullivan), Strongstown; grandchildren, Justin, Keith (Jessica), Nicholas, Lacey (Dino) Amber and Seth; great-grandchildren, Lena, John and Parker; sisters, Pearl Pryer, Lexie Frederick, Patty (Dale) Sleppy and Helen Bosely; and close friend and cousin, Tom McCullough. He owned and operated Klashs Garage, Strongstown. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and game shows. He enjoyed spending time at his hunting camp and liked hunting and fishing. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. Interment to follow at Pineland Cemetery, Strongstown.
