Anthony J. "Tony" Warynovich

Warynovich-Anthony J. “Tony” Jr., 75, Nanty Glo, passed away March 16, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 3, 1945 in Nanty Glo. Son of the Late Anthony and Marie (Minarchick) Warynovich, Sr. Preceded in death by Brothers-in-law Bill Gibson, Don Gibson, Carl Gibson. Survivied by his wife of 50 years Sally (Gibson) Warynovich. Children Anthony (Jennifer) Warynovich, III, Monica Emerson (Josh), Jason Warynovich (Devan), and Josh Warynovich. Grandchildren Drew and Zoie Warynovich. He was the brother of Paula Gibson, Delores (Robert) Grubb, and James (Kathy) Warynovich. Member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Nanty Glo. He served in the US Navy and was a medic in the Marine Corp., serving in the Vietnam War. Member of the American Polish Club, where he served as Vice President, American Legion, Post 619, Moose Lodge, all of Nanty Glo, and the Twin Rocks VFW. Visitation will be Friday, from 6-8 at the Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where Wake Service will be Friday. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, 10 AM, at St. Mary’s Church, Fr. Leonard Voytek, the Celebrant. Interment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Veteran services will be held by the Nanty Glo, Twin Rocks, and Vintondale Ritual Team.
