Ann Bichko

Ann Mary (Pavuk) Bichko, 87, Nanty Glo, died May 19, 2012, at Valley View Nursing Center, Altoona. Born Nov. 12, 1924, in Colver, daughter of the late John and Mary (Novak) Pavuk. Preceded in death by husband, Michael F. Sr.; brothers, John, Joe and Steve; and sisters, Helen Vancas and Margaret Cook. Ann was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survived by children, Michael F. Jr. (Janet), Nanty Glo; Thomas, Leisure Village; Nancy (Tom) Morrison, Mundys Corner; Karen (George) Letavish, Ebensburg; Suzanne (Michael) Conzo, Twin Rocks; Ann Marie (Dan) Woodward, Hampton, Va.; and Vicki Lynn (Scott) Wood, Chesapeake, Va.; grandchildren, Michael, Michele and Mario Bichko; Sharon Cobaugh and Mark (Amy) Morrison; George Jr. and Adam Letavish; Mike and Dana Conzo; Megan and twins Sean and Hannah Woodward; and Abby Wood; great-grandchildren, Joel and Joshua Morrison, Evan Cobaugh and Aubree Lynn Conzo; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Member of St. Marys Church, Nanty Glo, where she was a member of Altar and Rosary, Legion of Mary and cemetery committee. She worked as a secretary at the Pentagon during World War II and Ebensburg Center. Member of John B. Mosso Catholic War Ladies, Ladies of the Moose, Wednesday Night Senior Citizens and AFSCME Local 8302. Friends will be received from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where a liturgical wake will be held Thursday. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Marys Church, the Rev. Father Martin A. Cingle, celebrant. Interment to follow at St. Marys Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Marys Cemetery Committee.
