Andrew P. Matachosky

Matachosky-Andrew P., 95, Twin Rocks, passed away Sept. 3, 2021 at Cambridge Ebensburg. He was born Oct. 4, 1925. Son of the late John and Pearl Matachosky. Preceded in death by brothers Joseph, Walter, Michael, and Joseph; sisters Agnes Matachosky, Ann Polard, Mary Warholic, Helen Radnoti, Sophie Ditty, and Catherine Smolensky. He was a beloved uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Member of the former St. Charles Church, Twin Rocks and St. Mary’s Church, Nanty Glo. Andrew was a US Navy Veteran and was the last original charter member from 1945 of the Twin Rocks VFW. He was an avid baseball player and enjoyed all sports. Family will receive friends at the Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo on Thursday, from 9AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11AM at St. Mary’s Church, Fr. Leonard Voytek, the Celebrant, interment to follow in St. Charles, Cemetery. Military services will be conducted the Nanty Glo, Twin Rocks, and Vintondale Ritual Team.
