Andrew "Shorty" Harasty

Harasty-Andrew “Shorty”, 92, Twin Rocks, passed away Dec. 11. 2020 at Rebekah Manor, Portage. He was born May 11, 1929 in Vintondale. Son of the late Charles and Mary (Gamble) Harasty. Preceded in death, Fiancé Mary Ann Topor and brothers and sisters. He is survived by daughter Susan Churilla and numerous nieces and nephews. Shorty was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was retired from the Onedia coal mine after 33 years and was owner of a mink farm. He loved spending time with his 2 dogs Fuzzie and Casper. Visitation will be Monday, 2-6 PM at the Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where funeral services will be held Tuesday 10 AM. Interment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
