Aldonia J. (Golas) Caliendo

Aldonia J. (Golas) Caliendo, 86, died June 12, 2013 at Memorial Medical Center. Born October 1, 1926 in Reading PA, she was the daughter of Bernice and Peter Golas. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joseph, married 59 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Nanty Glo. Survived by loving son, John M. Caliendo and wife Jean of North Wales, PA Grandchildren, Kimberly Ann Zarkoski (Shawn) of San Diego; Kristin Michelle McConnell (Ryan) of Bensalem, PA and Scott Michael Caliendo of North Wales, PA Great Grandchildren, Caden, Logan and Brooklyn McConnell, Dylan and Gavin Zarkoski Brother John of Nanty Glo Sister - in - Law Ruth Golas married to the late Tony Golas Preceded in death by Brothers, George W. Witt, Joseph, Benjamin, Tony, and sisters Constance Zafarino (Dom) and Josephine Jensen (Steve) Since she lost her parents at a young age she went to live with her mother's sister Mary Kupchella and her family of six boys Bernard, Charles, Tony, Fitch, and Bill (Fritz) who also preceded her in death. She will be sadly missed by everyone, including many nieces, nephews and friends especially her niece and nephew, Larry and Nancy McCreary and dear friend Joanne Kotelnicki. Friends will be received Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo where a liturgical wake will be held Sunday evening. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Church with the Rev Fr. Martin A. Cingle, the celebrant. Interment to follow in the Holy Name Mausoleum.
