Alberta L. (Simpson) Gerber

Alberta L. Gerber, 94, of Mundy's Corner, died peacefully in the comfort of family on Sunday, May 2, 2021, at her daughter’s home in Wickliffe, OH. Alberta was born in Johnstown, PA, on May 14, 1926, the daughter of George and Alberta (McDonald) Simpson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond D. Gerber, brother Robert Simpson of Torrance, CA, and sister Phyllis Bowers of Wickliffe, OH. Surviving Alberta are her brother Charles (Louise) Simpson of Anaheim, CA, her 5 children, Rodney (Donna) of Morgantown, WV, George (Geralynn) of South Williamsport, PA, Pamela Blackburn (Mark) of Wickliffe, OH, Dennis (Shawn) of West Grove, PA, Jeffrey (Annette) of Ebensburg, PA, 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Alberta was a loving, devoted wife and mother. She and her husband Raymond celebrated 70 years of marriage together on May 3, 2016. Alberta will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Funeral services will be provided by Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, in Nanty Glo, PA, at the convenience of family with Interment to follow at the Richland Cemetery.
